Today, was Queensday. The day we celebrate the birthday of the Dutch Royal Family.

Today would be the day, when Queen Juliana would have been 100 years old. So there was a special celebration planned, where The Royal Family would be present.

April 30th, 2009 - The City of Apeldoorn. Probably a day the Dutch community will not forget that easily.

When the Royal Family were close to arriving at the Palice Het Loo, they were waving at the crowd which had gathered at the celebration. At that moment, a black Suzuki Swift, rammed through the barricades, through the crowd, dragged numerous people in its way, coming to a stop when ramming hard to a monument.

The police got the impression from the driver of the car, that he meant to do it, but that was all they could get from him.

So far, 5 injured people died, and numerous others still alive with injuries.

The day started so great, warm weather, not a sprinkle of coldness, a perfect day of a special celebration. And then something like this happens.

I'm still messed up from it...

I will think of the victims and their families...
